PawPad (com.wormadev.pawpad) is made by wormadev. It turns your phone into a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for your TV.
What PawPad collects
Nothing. PawPad has no accounts, ads, analytics or servers. It does not collect, store remotely, sell or share personal data.
Data on your device
- Settings (theme, speeds, button groups) are stored only on your phone.
- Snippets you save are encrypted on your phone with a key kept in the Android Keystore. They never leave your phone except when you choose to type one on your TV.
- What you type or speak is sent only to the Bluetooth device you connected, as keyboard input.
- Doze, when you turn it on, reads the phone's motion sensor and screen state on the phone to guess that you fell asleep. It keeps only the times it paused or turned off the TV, for the last 14 nights, on your phone. You can clear them in Settings.
Permissions
- Nearby devices (Bluetooth): to act as a keyboard and mouse for your TV.
- Microphone: only when you tap the mic button for voice typing. Speech is turned into text by your phone's speech recognition service (for example Google's); PawPad does not record or keep audio.
- Notifications: to show the connected notification with play/pause and disconnect.
Children
PawPad is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
